Can our worst traits actually become our superpowers? Throughout history, we see incredible stories of transformation—sinners turned saints, gang members turned role models, and thieves turned philanthropists. In this inspiring Satsang, we will look at the powerful life story of St. Moses the Black. After escaping a life of forced slavery, he rose to power as a ruthless criminal terrorizing the desert. Everything changed, however, during a gang break-in at a desert monastery that completely shifted his trajectory. But not without trials and struggle. Together, we will discover how we can channel our own personal intensity and redirect our inner power to align with our highest, divine potential.

Everyone is welcome to stay for tea and light snacks afterwards.

Satsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together to share spiritual teachings. The philosophy of Integral Yoga is explored often through an informal discussion. Although our spiritual paths may diverge, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice.

People of all faiths are welcome.

As the holiday season approaches, we invite you to step away from the busyness and demands of December and enter a spacious time of rest, reflection, and renewal. This 4-day retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover the natural sense of balance and peace that dwells at the heart of our being as our truest nature.

Through meditation, Yoga practices, intentional silence, rest, and reflection, we will gently calm the mind, come more fully into the present, and deepen our connection with the unchanging spiritual presence within. In the midst of the holiday season, this retreat can offer a precious pause—a time to listen inwardly, nourish the heart, and reconnect with what is most meaningful.

Join Swami Ramananda, Claudia Bartsch, and Mirabai Warkulwiz for an in-person 4-day retreat that includes Yoga classes for all levels of practice, inspiring workshops, meditation, evening programs, healthy vegetarian meals, and spacious free time for walking, resting, reading, or simply being in nature.

The spacious practice of silence, from Thursday evening until Sunday morning, invites us to turn inward, cultivate a deeper sense of peace, and renew our commitment to living with greater awareness, compassion, and courage. As the retreat falls during the holiday season, including the final day of Hanukkah, we welcome this time of quiet reflection as an opportunity to honor the light within and around us.

We are blessed once again to gather at Commonweal Retreat Center in Bolinas, surrounded by the natural beauty of the ocean and land. Located on sacred Native American grounds, Commonweal provides a peaceful setting for contemplation, practice, and renewal. The combination of Yoga, meditation, silence, nourishing food, and time in nature offers an opportunity to gently release the accumulated stimulation of daily life and restore body, mind, and spirit.

Come as you are, and give yourself the gift of a few days to pause, breathe, listen, and reconnect with the peace that is always within.

Early registration recommended.

Keep Calm & Nada Om
The third workshop in Tantra series with Raama and Renata

What happens when we truly experience Om?

In this immersive Tantra workshop, we will explore Nada Yoga, the profound relationship between sound, vibration, awareness, and inner experience.

The Mantra Om is more than a sound we chant. It can be felt as vibration, listened to with greater subtlety, and experienced as a doorway into deeper awareness.

Through different explorations of Om, we will discover how the sound and its vibration can shift our experience and draw us inward.

We will also enter a meditation practice that brings together breath, awareness, and the subtle experience of sound, allowing the practice to become quieter and more internal.

Our journey will conclude with Tantric Yoga Nidra, creating space for deep relaxation, integration, and inner stillness.

Come slow down, listen deeply, feel the vibration, and experience Om.

Keep Calm & Nada Om
Experience Om.

Space is limited for these popular workshops so early booking is recommended.
Bring nothing except an open mind and a loving heart – all props are provided.
All are welcome. No previous experience is needed.

This workshop will be recorded and available to all enrolled students for two weeks.

RAAMA Having practiced for many years already, Raama began his journey into the deeper aspects of Yoga, Tantra and Meditation on Sadhana Retreat at The Scandinavian School of Yoga and Meditation in 2009. He was deeply affected by the authentic teachings of Swami Janakananda who in turn was directly mentored by Swami Satyananda of the Bihar school of Yoga in India, over 50 years ago. It was truly a life changing experience and Raama has dedicated his life to practicing and teaching yoga ever since. An experienced class teacher, workshop presenter and teacher trainer for both Integral Yoga and HealMe Yoga, Raama is currently Vice President of the Integral Yoga Institute, San Francisco. By sharing his personal experience of Tantra, Raama now hopes to encourage others to truly incorporate these practices into their own daily life. His informed, compassionate and light hearted approach will ease you through resistance to experience new insights and profound personal growth. Raama has been inspired by Renata’s inquisitive mind and dedication to her practice of Tantra and is delighted to offer these unique workshops in collaborative partnership with Renata. RENATA Renata began practicing Hatha Yoga over two decades ago, initially drawn to its physical benefits and soon discovering the deeper mental and spiritual dimensions of the practice. She began teaching in 2015 after studying with Vimala Ren Fields at the Healing Arts and Yoga Center in Fredericksburg and has continued to deepen her studies and personal practice ever since. An Integral Yoga teacher and dedicated practitioner of traditional Tantra, Renata brings a gentle and contemplative approach to her teaching, with an emphasis on breath awareness, meditation, and the quieter, more inward aspects of yoga. She believes yoga is for everyone and seeks to create an environment in which students can experience greater awareness, balance, and connection both on and off the mat. Traditional Tantra has become an integral part of Renata’s personal practice and teaching. Through years of study and practice under Raama’s guidance, she has developed a grounded, experiential approach to these traditional practices. Together, Renata and Raama present Tantra workshops in Virginia and San Francisco, sharing these practices in an accessible and authentic way. Contact us: raamaerenata@gmail.com
