A Six-Week Journey into Practice, Presence, and Inner Transformation
The beginning of a new year can be an invitation to pause, reflect, and renew our commitment to what matters most. Whether you are new to meditation or longing to reconnect with a practice that has fallen away, this six-week journey with Diana Meltsner offers an opportunity to begin again. Together, we will explore the practice and theory of meditation as a systematic and transformative way to cultivate and steady the mind, deepen self-awareness, and bring greater inspiration, meaning, and presence into daily life.

The course will be grounded primarily in Yogic and Upanishadic teachings and methods of meditation, while also introducing selected practices and perspectives from Buddhist meditation and Christian contemplative traditions. As we cultivate awareness and stillness, we create space to reconnect with our heart and soul and awaken the divine attributes of mercy, peace, and joy within us.

“When the mind, one-pointed and fully focused, knows the supreme silence in the Heart, this is true learning.”
— Sri Ramana Maharshi

Each session will include teachings, guided meditation practices, and opportunities for discussion and reflection. Participants will also be invited to explore optional weekly challenges designed to support the integration of meditation into everyday life. Throughout the course, you will be encouraged to develop a personalized meditation practice that is sustainable and supportive of your authentic way of life.

Evening Meditation: A Seven-Night Journey

We apologized, this event has been cancelled.

ONLINE with Caroline Giles
Daily Monday-Sunday, November 2-8
8:00 – 8:45pm

$54 | $45 Early Bird, exp. 10/26/26

Seven evenings. Different practices. One intention. Finish the day with calm.

New to meditation and keen to explore different techniques to quiet a busy mind at the end of the day? Already experienced and looking to strengthen your evening practice with the support of a group?

Recent Australian research suggests that newer meditators may experience benefits more quickly, while for experienced meditators, the frequency of practice can have a powerful effect. The research also found that reported benefits from meditation apps may be significantly overstated. We often intend to practice at the end of the day, but somehow an excuse appears, or we simply feel too tired. Coming together as a committed group creates the encouragement and accountability to make time for ourselves.

Join us for seven evenings of exploration and practice.
Each evening will begin with a simple physical release to let go of tension (no mat required) followed by a short therapeutic technique for releasing emotions and then a different meditation practice.

Whether you’re completely new to meditation or have an established practice, you’ll find something to inspire, support and encourage you to continue beyond these seven evenings.

Each session will be recorded and shared for 2 weeks with enrolled participants. Early enrollment recommended for the whole course, 7 sessions.

I’m Caroline Giles, a recently retired internationally certified Yoga Therapist and senior Yoga Teacher. I completed all levels of Integral Yoga Teacher Training at Yogaville and have been mentored by Swami Asokananda for over a decade. I live in Australia and owned a small business and private Studio, Experience Yoga. There I was inspired to teach practices of yoga for health, well-being, wholeness and mindful living. I am passionate about the scientific evidence as well as the lived experience and benefits from meditation. My students were the everyday person like you and me. They came to create strength, vitality, inner peace and courage in their life through yoga and meditation.

4-Day Yoga Retreat: Restoring Our Natural Center of Balance and Peace

IN-PERSON with Swami Ramananda, Claudia Bartsch & Mirabai Warkulwiz

December 10, 5:30pm–December 13, 12:30pm | Commonweal Retreat Center, Bolinas.
$795 Single room | $725 Early bird, exp. 11/19/2026
$670 Shared room (price per person) | $600 Early bird, exp. 11/19/2026  – Advanced registration required

As the holiday season approaches, we invite you to step away from the busyness and demands of December and enter a spacious time of rest, reflection, and renewal. This 4-day retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover the natural sense of balance and peace that dwells at the heart of our being as our truest nature.

Through meditation, Yoga practices, intentional silence, rest, and reflection, we will gently calm the mind, come more fully into the present, and deepen our connection with the unchanging spiritual presence within. In the midst of the holiday season, this retreat can offer a precious pause—a time to listen inwardly, nourish the heart, and reconnect with what is most meaningful.

Join Swami Ramananda, Claudia Bartsch, and Mirabai Warkulwiz for an in-person 4-day retreat that includes Yoga classes for all levels of practice, inspiring workshops, meditation, evening programs, healthy vegetarian meals, and spacious free time for walking, resting, reading, or simply being in nature.

The spacious practice of silence, from Thursday evening until Sunday morning, invites us to turn inward, cultivate a deeper sense of peace, and renew our commitment to living with greater awareness, compassion, and courage. As the retreat falls during the holiday season, including the final day of Hanukkah, we welcome this time of quiet reflection as an opportunity to honor the light within and around us.

We are blessed once again to gather at Commonweal Retreat Center in Bolinas, surrounded by the natural beauty of the ocean and land. Located on sacred Native American grounds, Commonweal provides a peaceful setting for contemplation, practice, and renewal. The combination of Yoga, meditation, silence, nourishing food, and time in nature offers an opportunity to gently release the accumulated stimulation of daily life and restore body, mind, and spirit.

Come as you are, and give yourself the gift of a few days to pause, breathe, listen, and reconnect with the peace that is always within.

Early registration recommended.
