“Meditation is the greatest gift you can give yourself.”
— Sogyal Rinpoche

“Whatever you want to see outside, create it within, develop it inside. That is the real purpose behind meditation and any spiritual practice.”
– Sri Swami Satchidananda

Join Swami Divyananda Friday, August 7-16 ⋅ 9:00 – 10:00am PT | 12:00 – 1 pm ET for ten days of guidance and practice of meditation. Starting with ten minutes, the meditation sessions will increase to one full hour on the tenth day. Accept this challenge and invite your life to be fully transformed! Daily, 10 times.

Whether brand-new to meditation or experienced-but-struggling, these sessions will address your needs and give you the tools and support to sustain and advance a meditation practice. With today’s myriad outside influences, what means most to our hearts can easily get muddled and lost. However, it is possible to reconnect with the Higher Self and see beyond external messages through meditation and yogic practices. By calming the body, quieting the mind, and allowing for inner reflection, our authentic hearts can be felt.

During this online meditation program, you will have access to Live sessions with Swami Divyananda at 12–1 pm EDT each day. In addition, you will have access to the Ashram’s Live Hatha Yoga classes at 5 pm and access to an online social community to connect and communicate with other participants about this course.

Deepening into Meditation

By donation. Please register in advance, a zoom link will be provided via confirmation email.

“You begin with ambition of some kind. Then, at a certain stage, meditation becomes instinctive. Then you cannot not meditate – it happens to you.”-Chogyam Trumpa

This ongoing group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month to explore and refine aspects of our meditation practices – how we sit, why we sit, and how that relates to our lives. The format consists of a group meditation with some direction, a talk on a related subject and a question/answer session with sharing.

Prajna Lorin Piper took her first yoga class in 1970 in southern California. Later that year she came through the doors of the Berkeley IYI, and since that time she has loved Integral Yoga.
Over the years she has maintained an active involvement in movement, healing, and meditation. She has practiced yoga, tai chi, and various dance forms; co-authored two best selling books on Holistic Health; lived and danced flamenco in southern Spain; and since 2000, has taught Rosen Movement. In 2010, she completed her IYI Teacher Training at Yogaville, and began teaching yoga. She brings to her teaching four decades of meditation practice, the last twenty eight in the Buddhist tradition.

Attuning to the wisdom of the body/mind and opening to the present are the foundations of both Prajna’s teaching and personal practice.

She is currently the kitchen manager for SF IYI and IYI retreats. Before heading the IYI kitchen she cooked for many years in retreats centers, cafes and restaurants..
