In this two-part workshop, Swami Ramananda—drawing on more than fifty years of dedicated yoga practice—will share five pivotal teachings that profoundly changed his life. Central among them is a liberating insight into self-identity: “I don’t have to buy into the whole story that inhabits my mind and feels like me.”

Through guided reflection and clear, down-to-earth explanation, Swami Ramananda will show how these teachings can be applied to everyday challenges such as work, relationships, and stress. For example, together, we will explore how loosening our identification with habitual mental narratives opens the possibility for greater freedom, presence, and discernment.

Participants will leave with simple, practical tools to respond more skillfully to daily events and to cultivate clarity, inner growth, and a deeper sense of well-being—both on and off the mat.

These workshops are available for sign up as a course or individually at $25 – 4/23 & 4/30
and will be recorded and available to all enrolled students for two weeks.

Yoga for Strong Bones

Online | $16.00

We appreciate advance registration.

Did you know that yoga can help strengthen your bones? Research by Dr. Loren Fishman shows that practicing 12 specific yoga poses can improve bone density and quality, helping prevent fractures and support bone health at any age. Yoga also enhances balance, posture, and coordination, reducing the risk of falls.

In this monthly workshop, we will cover the basics of the bone-building process, followed by guided instructions for practicing the 12 poses. Integrated within a traditional Integral Yoga structure—including warm-ups, asanas, guided relaxation, pranayama, and a brief meditation—this class supports bone health, posture, balance, and coordination for people of all ages.

All levels are welcome. Modifications will be offered for standing, chair-based, and wall-supported variations so you can practice safely and effectively.

Recommended props: Yoga mat, chair (without arms), strap, block, wall access, and a thick towel or blanket.

Please note: If you have any medical conditions—including fractures, spinal issues, or joint replacements (especially hips or knees)—please consult your healthcare provider before starting this. This class offers modifications, but it is not a substitute for medical guidance.

This program will not be recorded.

Scripture study: The Essence of Balance: Exploring the Gunas through the Yoga Sutras, 3-part

Online | $5-15 sliding scale

Please register in advance; a Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before the session, or join Zoom directly via your Momence dashboard.

Join us for a transformative 3-week scripture study group, “Understanding and Balancing the Gunas,” where you’ll explore the ancient wisdom of the Gunas—Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas—as described in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

On 3 Monday evenings, January 13th, 20th and 27th, we will delve into how these fundamental energies shape our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The first week, you’ll dive deep into the characteristics of each Guna through group discussions and weekly reflections, gaining a profound understanding of how these energies manifest in your life. The concept of Gunas in Yoga philosophy introduces three fundamental energies that influence human behavior and the natural world. Sattva represents harmony, balance, and purity, associated with qualities like joy, intelligence, and clarity. Rajas are characterized by activity, passion, and desire, linked to movement, ambition, and restlessness. Tamas is associated with inertia, darkness, and ignorance, often leading to lethargy, confusion, and delusion. Understanding the interplay of these Gunas provides a framework for self-observation and personal development, allowing practitioners to navigate their emotional landscapes effectively, ultimately leading to a state of liberation as described in Patanjali’s teachings.
The Yoga Scripture Study series is an offering for participants to learn and discuss how the teachings of Yoga apply to our daily lives. We read passages, take time for reflection , and share how these words and practices support us on the spiritual path.

All are welcome to join any one or all of the sessions. Each session offered individually:
Part 1 Monday 1/13
Part 2 Monday 1/20
Part 3 Monday 1/27
