4 week course – Tuesdays March 9, 16, 23, 30
Mindfulness meditation is ultimately a discipline of liberation from suffering. Mindfulness practice guides us to an inherently therapeutic perspective on the nature of knowing and encountering ourselves. In so doing, the ability to experience afflictive emotions are transformed into an experience of growth and durable self development. Suffering is diminished and replaced with skills that allow access to a deeper level of being whose inherent nature is happiness. This workshop is intended as an introduction to those meditative practices and skills necessary to regulate emotion.
This workshop is held on 4 consecutive Tuesday evenings for two hours. It is primarily experiential but some written, visual and lecture material will be provided. Ample time for questions will be scheduled. Prior meditation experience is preferred, you should be able to meditate comfortably for 30 minutes. If you are a beginner I can provide you with some recorded scripted meditations before hand that you can practice.
FREE Introduction: To learn more about this upcoming 4-week Meditation workshop attend the free Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation session on Tuesday, March 2, 4:00 – 5:00pm PT
