Although it’s one of the most widely used spiritual practices in the world, many people believe that they can’t meditate. This might be because they believe that their mind has to be quiet or peaceful in meditation. Or they may have had a negative experience with meditation and give up on the idea of practicing altogether. In this Satsang, Jivana and Ramananda will offer clear simple methods to make meditation accessible, build a regular practice, and experience the way meditation can transform our lives. They’ll explore a few different techniques and approaches to make the practice more accessible, including trauma-sensitive practices, and alternative forms of meditation that might be more welcoming for many practitioners.

A simple vegetarian meal will be offered after this in-person Satsang with a suggested in-person donation of $5-10.

Satsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together to share spiritual teachings. The philosophy of Integral Yoga is explored often through an informal discussion. Although our spiritual paths may diverge, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice.

People of all faiths are welcome.
