During this two-day program, Dr. Marc Halpern and Dr. Andrea Deerheart will be your guides as you go on a deep and personal inner journey of discovery, relaxation, and deep healing through the sacred practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is an ancient, classical practice of entering in a deeply relaxed but entirely conscious state of awareness. From this state of consciousness, each individual is empowered to remove the obstacles that are in the way of attaining optimal health and peace of mind and then set out on a new path of conscious creation – the manifestation of life as you dream it to be.

Schedule
9:00am-12:00pm & 1:30pm-4:00pm – Saturday & Sunday

This program consists of a combination of practicing Yoga Nidra and group processing. The doctors will share stories both classical and personal and each student is supported and encouraged to be as open as possible. Sacred space, trust, and safety are core principles of this program.
Please bring a blanket, a pillow and a yoga mat.

All sessions will be recorded and made available to enrolled students for two weeks afterward. The program is offered both online and in person, though attending in person is recommended.

Exploring Tantric Yoga Nidra for Awakening Consciousness and Personal Growth.

Come “Fall Awake” with Raama & Renata in the latest of their series of Tantra workshops.

Through a comprehensive process of:

• Gentle physical movement to stretch and strengthen the body and boost blood circulation
• Pranayama to balance and purify vital energy channels
• Mudras to seal and divert that energy inward, calm the nervous system, and prepare the mind for the systematic rotation of consciousness

You will be ready to experience the state of Nidra:

• A practice that liberates energy and merges individual consciousness with the universal consciousness
• Explore “Rotation of Consciousness” for receptivity
• Experience “Opposite” sensations to alter your mental and physical states
• Tune in to the “Chakra” body for enhanced energy and awareness
• Enjoy a “Guided Visualization” that takes you on a journey of personal discovery
• Witness “Archetypes” of being
• Consider “Who am I?”

Deep relaxation creates fertile soil for the seeds of spiritual growth and you will be guided to develop your own unique “Sankalpa”, a type of affirmation that:

• Sets positive and aspirational intention
• Creates your destiny with motivation and purpose
• Embraces tantric principles of focused willpower
• And with regular practice is bound to manifest

“At the point of sleep when sleep has not yet come and external wakefulness vanishes, at this point being is revealed.” (Vigyana Bhairava Tantra)

This workshop will include presentations on the practices, some physical movement and ultimately a profound Nidra experience. Detailed instruction, notes and recordings will be provided to continue your practice in daily life.

Here’s what students have to say about their experience with Raama and Renata:

“I felt my energy shift in a positive way”

“During the Yoga Nidra I was so out of the world at peace”

“An incredible experience…I am still feeling energized from it”

“Oh goodness, that was such a beautiful and profound experience”

This workshop will be recorded and made available to enrolled students for two weeks afterward. The program is offered both online and in person, though attending in person is recommended.

RAAMA Having practiced for many years already, Raama began his journey into the deeper aspects of Yoga, Tantra and Meditation on Sadhana Retreat at The Scandinavian School of Yoga and Meditation in 2009. He was deeply affected by the authentic teachings of Swami Janakananda who in turn was directly mentored by Swami Satyananda of the Bihar school of Yoga in India, over 50 years ago. It was truly a life changing experience and Raama has dedicated his life to practicing and teaching yoga ever since. An experienced class teacher, workshop presenter and teacher trainer for both Integral Yoga and HealMe Yoga, Raama is currently Vice President of the Integral Yoga Institute, San Francisco. By sharing his personal experience of Tantra, Raama now hopes to encourage others to truly incorporate these practices into their own daily life. His informed, compassionate and light hearted approach will ease you through resistance to experience new insights and profound personal growth. Raama has been inspired by Renata’s inquisitive mind and dedication to her practice of Tantra and is delighted to offer this unique workshop as the first of a new collaborative partnership.

RENATA Renata began practicing Hatha Yoga two decades ago, initially drawn to it for its physical benefits, but soon realizing how other aspects of the practice are also beneficial for mental and spiritual wellbeing. In 2014 she started to deepen her yoga journey, studying under Vimala Ren Fields of the Healing Arts and Yoga Center in Fredericksburg and began teaching in 2015 at various locations in the area. Renata has a gentle approach to yoga and her teaching style expresses the calmer aspects of the practice, emphasizing breath awareness and an overall sense of peace and balance. She believes that yoga is for everyone, and through her kind and tranquil nature she seeks to inspire students to experience the true essence of yoga, on and off the mat. Renata met Raama in 2018 on a Graduate level Teacher Training that he was leading for HealMe Yoga. Remaining in contact ever since, Renata has gradually incorporated Tantra into her existing Yoga and Meditation practice with his guidance, encouragement and support. Renata’s experience of developing from a “novice” in these techniques, to having a regular daily practice under Raama’s patient mentoring, has led them to now both being uniquely qualified and prepared to introduce Tantra to a wider audience as teaching partners. Sound Bath–Yoga Nidra LA Fire Relief Fundraiser

100% of the proceeds go to American Red Cross to help those affected by LA fires.

In-Person  | $35-150 sliding scale

We appreciate advance registration.

When we take care of ourselves, we foster the capacity to take care of others. By supporting yourself you are supporting those in Los Angeles in desperate need of our help.

Our bodies are densely packed fields of energy. The day-to-day challenges of life, no matter how large or small, create stress hormones in the body that can depress the immune system. The practice of Yoga Nidra supports the body in doing what it is wired to do; rejuvenate, repair, and restore the body on both a cellular and energetic level. Yoga Nidra is also a practice of exploring, setting and activating your own, personal, Sankulpa or intention. The practice of bathing in sound can break the stress-cycle in a safe, relaxing and non-invasive way.

This workshop will guide you through the practice of centering, pranayama/breathing practice, and gentle movement before coming to a comfortable supported position and experiencing a guided 40-50 minutes, Yoga Nidra and sound bath. Live, sound-healing instruments in combination with Yoga Nidra creates the ideal conditions to recalibrate your own vibrational frequency, reboot the nervous system, and support you to tap into the self-healing capacity.

Some of the benefits of Yoga Nidra and sound bath include lowered heart rate and blood pressure, relaxed brain wave patterns, reduced respiratory rates, a boost of natural opiates in the physical body and improved sleep. Experience these profound practices for rebooting your nervous system, realizing optimal health and expanded consciousness.

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. We will be lying down on our backs for approximately 40-50 minutes. Props provided. If coming to the floor is not available to you a folding chair will be provided.

Thank you – Om Shanti

NOTE: We are aware that this event is starting around the same time that the Blue Angels fly over the City of San Francisco. This year the flight paths and altitude is not as low and invasive as past years. It does not last long and should not impact our ability to practice. It will surly add to our  practice of cultivating the “witness”.  We hope to see you there. Thank you.

No experience is necessary.
