The Yoga Sutras are a collection of 196 sutras, or aphorisms, that were written by the sage Patanjali in the 2nd century BCE. They offer a timeless and practical guide to living a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

In today’s world, where stress and anxiety seem to be ever-present, the Yoga Sutras offer a valuable path to peace and well-being. They can teach us how to calm the mind, focus attention, and cultivate a more positive outlook on life.

This three-part scripture study series will explore the Yoga Sutras’ relevance to modern life, offering insights and practical guidance for applying their wisdom to our daily challenges and spiritual practice.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, this study series can help you discover the transformative power of the Yoga Sutras.
All are welcome. No prior knowledge of the Yoga Sutras required.

Transforming Anger and Fear -Yoga’s Practical Wisdom

Please register in advance, a Zoom link and passcode will be provided via confirmation email.

Please review our In-person Safety Guidelines.

ONLINE & IN-PERSON | $35 for both Thursdays –  May 5 & 12

We all encounter challenging situations that trigger strong emotions like fear or anger, which undermine our ability to act with clarity and care. In this 2-part workshop, we’ll explore how to recognize and relate to these powerful emotions, how to look deeply and understand their root causes, and how to receive the messages these emotions bring. We’ll discuss the steps needed to support our efforts to be present and compassionate with these deep-seated feelings, so that we can respond to them skillfully and use them as opportunities to guide our personal and spiritual growth.

The first session will focus on how anger originates, how it affects us, and how its energy can be released and expressed in appropriate ways.

The second session will explore the roots of fear, and how to bring awareness, healing and transformation to the psychic knots that bind our energy and weaken our ability to experience compassion and joy.
