If you have increased fracture risk due to bone loss, you can use yoga as part of your integrated program to prevent falls and fractures. A ten-year study of 741 participants doing a specific series of yoga postures resulted in increased bone density.

Almost every yoga pose involves the core in some way and a strong core can facilitate one’s yoga practice in improving balance, stabilizing the spine, and preventing injury. At a more subtle level, It can also cultivate a greater sense of centeredness, emotional strength and wellbeing.
