Opening to Grace

I am particularly moved by this line in a Rumi poem: “For sixty years, I have been forgetful every minute, but not for a second has this flowing towards me stopped or slowed.” It reminds me that I don’t have to be tough and do it all by myself. If I surrender my personal ideas and am willing to act in service with compassion and courage, I feel an inner prompting that makes clear what I should do.

Opening to Grace

There’s a great relief in admitting our humanness, in acknowledging our mistakes and forgiving ourselves. Then we can let go of protecting our reputation and allow ourselves to be guided by a concern for the well-being of everyone, including ourselves.

Opening to Grace

“So much grace available, but how we receive it depends on what we can let go of.”
