Once, Sri Swami Satchidananda was asked why it didn’t seem like people in the West were becoming enlightened at that same rate that they were in the East. He replied, “You think you can do it by yourself!” Sri Swamiji taught us that sangha–spiritual community–is the most essential component of a strong spiritual practice. We need the support, inspiration, and camaraderie of our brothers and sisters on the path.

Here at the Integral Yoga Institute we offer many ways for people to connect to our Sangha. We come together to practice and live by the teachings of Yoga. We invite you to come to one of our many free and by-donation events to connect more deeply with our community.

Teacher Training Scholarship fund for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)

We recognize the structural and institutional racism in Yoga and wellness communities, and acknowledge the lack of diverse representation in our Yoga classes. We believe that by encouraging a diverse range of teaching voices, we can create safe spaces where all students can feel represented and welcomed.

Your contribution empowers us to work together towards dismantling systemic racism and injustice by training BIPOC Yoga teachers and promoting the creation of a more inclusive Yoga community.

Work Exchange

Residency Program

We are currently accepting applications for our residential program.

As an active ashram, we have up to ten residents who lead a Yoga-based lifestyle including a vegetarian diet (no meat, fish or eggs), daily meditations, and strive to live by principles like compassion and truthfulness in all relationships. We offer residency to people interested in attending regular group meditation and supporting each other in leading a Yogic lifestyle and supporting the Institute in sharing the teachings of Yoga.

If you are interested in residency we ask that you start by simply visiting us to see how we live and practice, or you could come as a guest to see even more fully the life we lead. If you would like more information please contact us.
