Beyond physical movement\, Yoga offers a path toward stilling the mind and reconnecting with the deeper awareness that is our true nature. Without this understanding\, our practice can easily be shaped by unconscious habits\, conditioning\, and the pressures of modern culture.\nIn this experiential class\, we will weave together asana\, pranayama\, meditation\, and Yogic philosophy to cultivate greater awareness of the body\, breath\, mind\, and subtle energy. Through mindful movement and self-observation\, we explore how practice can help us move beyond conditioned patterns and open to greater balance\, clarity\, and inner connection. Over time\, this approach can nurture a deeper sense of peace\, belonging\, and authentic well-being.\n\nSwami Ramananda\, C-IAYT\, E-RYT 500\, is the Executive Director of the Integral Yoga Institute in San Francisco\, C-IAYT\, and a greatly respected senior teacher in the Integral Yoga tradition who has been practicing Yoga for over 45 years. The Yoga Sutras offer a practical roadmap for cultivating mental clarity\, emotional balance\, and spiritual insight through the practice of Yoga as a way of life.\nAs we engage with these teachings\, we begin to free the mind from ingrained habits\, conditioned patterns\, and unconscious tendencies that can limit our growth. Like a seed that must first take root in the earth before it can blossom\, the journey inward allows us to awaken to a deeper understanding of ourselves. The practice of nirodha—the calming of the mind’s fluctuations—reconnects us with the peace\, wisdom\, and wholeness at the heart of our being and lays out a path toward inner freedom.\nRev. Kalyani Carlee Cohen Barr first found herself at the Integral Yoga Institute (IYI) in 2001 and began teaching Hatha Yoga\, Pranayama and meditation in 2005 after receiving her certification with Swami Ramananda at IYI Bacalar\, Mexico. Jaganath Carrera (YLS)\, Intermediate TT (IYISF)\, and is certified in Raja Yoga (IYISF). She is now an ordained Minister in the Yoga Life Ministry (2026). She co-founded Simply Yoga in South Florida in 2006. Kalyani now holds the position of Teacher Coordinator and assistant teacher trainer at IYISF. The name Kalyani is a spiritual name given to Carlee by Swami Ramananda which signifies a state of auspiciousness\, recognizing blessings\, and Being in bliss\, which she brings into her classes\, along with weaving Raja Yoga into the practices and into life. “Yoga is a sacred path to inner peace\, radiant health\, and deep joy. It has touched and transformed me on every level and my greatest honor is sharing this gift with others.” Join Kalyani to reconnect with your breath\, find your balance\, and experience greate \nSwami Ramananda\, C-IAYT\, E-RYT 500\, is the Executive Director of the Integral Yoga Institute in San Francisco\, C-IAYT\, and a greatly respected senior teacher in the Integral Yoga tradition who has been practicing Yoga for over 45 years. Together\, we will reflect on how to deepen our efforts\, sustain inner vigilance\, and cultivate a way of living that supports genuine awakening. Through this process\, the moments of peace and clarity we experience in practice can gradually ripen into steady\, enduring qualities—transforming not just what we feel in meditation\, but how we live each day.\nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit\, Sat means truth and Sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together to share spiritual teachings. The philosophy of Integral Yoga is explored often through an informal discussion. Although our spiritual paths may diverge\, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice. \nPeople of all faiths are welcome.\n\nSwami Ramananda\, C-IAYT\, E-RYT 500\, is the Executive Director of the Integral Yoga Institute in San Francisco\, C-IAYT\, and a greatly respected senior teacher in the Integral Yoga tradition who has been practicing Yoga for over 45 years.
