David grew up in India and spent several years immersed in the practices of kirtan\, sanskrit text chanting\, meditation and service as a full time ashram resident. Ananda Rasa Kirtan is rooted in traditional sanskrit chants and mantras sung to original Indian raga based melodies and explores the ecstatic and mystical moods of Bhakti in call and response chanting with the audience. Mr David has also toured with kirtan singers Krishna Das and Jai Uttal and many more supporting on drum and vocals. When not leading kirtan he is running his business Ragamala Harmoniums which has become a harmonium brand favorite worldwide.
