SUMMARY:Satsang: Wisdom in Troubled Times
DESCRIPTION:ONLINE & IN-PERSON with Marc M. Morozumi & guests \n$5-$20 | Enroll for free\, use promo code FREE \nBook now/OnlinePlease register in advance: a Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before the session\, or join Zoom directly via your Momence dashboard. \nBook now/In-PersonWe appreciate advance registration. \nIt can feel as though we are being pushed beyond our limits by events unfolding in our communities\, our country\, and the world. Our nervous systems become triggered\, and we may find ourselves reacting to every media blip without the opportunity to pause\, reflect\, and respond mindfully. What tools do we have to navigate this turmoil when it feels like we have little or no control? How can we draw upon ancient teachings to guide us from heightened stress and uncertainty toward resilience and trust in our inner wisdom?\nWhether we choose to look the other way or become change-makers\, our actions matter. Join Marc Morozumi and his guests for a lively and grounding discussion as we explore how to navigate the seemingly endless chaos of our world with greater clarity\, resilience\, and purpose.\nEveryone is welcome to stay for tea and light snacks afterwards. \nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit\, Sat means truth and Sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together to share spiritual teachings. The philosophy of Integral Yoga is explored often through an informal discussion. Although our spiritual paths may diverge\, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice.\nPeople of all faiths are welcome.\n\nMarc Morozumi\, E-RYT 500\, CMT\, Lead Yoga Teacher Trainer with Integral Yoga Institute\, began practicing Ashtanga yoga in 2001 while a full-time modern dancer with Joe Goode Performance Group in SF\, CA. Due to injury\, Mukunda retired from his 12 year dance career in 2004 and entered the events industry from 2004-2016. A 2-month personal trip to India in 2007 paved the way for landing in Yogaville in 2009 for his first teacher training with Swami Divyananda and staff. One month after returning from graduation\, Mukunda began teaching a Saturday morning class at the SF IYI which he maintained for over 10 years. Mukunda has co-led Integral Yoga retreats since 2011 and has staffed or co-led Basic Teacher Trainings since 2013. He has opened and managed small group yoga studios in SF since 2017 and in early 2020\, he opened and then reformed a yoga center post COVID-19: Mukunda Yoga – Activation and Well-being Center in SOMA\, SF\, CA.

SUMMARY:From Enemy to Ally: An Embodied Approach to Anxiety
DESCRIPTION:Live online via Zoom with Antonio Sausys\, MA\, IGT\, CMT\, C-IAYT \nSeptember 9\, 16\, 23 & 30 \nEarly Bird: $297 (until August 12) | Regular: $347 \nThis is an affiliate program\, please register directly via link below. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to join the sessions. \nRegister here \nFrom Enemy to Ally is a 4-week experiential series integrating psychology and embodied yogic practice for working with anxiety in daily life.\nRather than approaching anxiety as something to eliminate\, the series explores it as a meaningful signal that can be understood\, regulated\, and worked with through awareness\, self-regulation\, and experiential practice.\nA Different Relationship with Anxiety\nMany people experience anxiety not only during moments of crisis\, but as a subtle and persistent undercurrent in daily life. \nHealth concerns\, financial pressures\, caregiving responsibilities\, changing roles\, and uncertainty about the future can quietly shape how we think\, feel\, and respond. \nWhile understanding anxiety can be helpful\, insight alone is often not enough. The relationship we have with anxiety is also embodied and shaped through experience over time. \nFrom Enemy to Ally offers a space to move from understanding into practice. \nWhat We’ll Explore\nWe explore how anxiety appears in both body and mind—through sensation\, thought patterns\, emotional responses\, and automatic reactions. \nTogether\, we explore: \n\nAnxiety as a meaningful signal rather than an enemy\nPhysical and mental manifestations of anxiety\nPatterns of reactivity and automatic response\nUncertainty\, control\, and internal narratives\nReconnecting with the heart and the emotional landscape beneath anxiety\nListening to what feelings may be asking rather than resisting them\nAwareness\, discernment\, and effective action\n\nCore shift:\nFrom reacting to anxiety → relating to it as meaningful information \nWhat You’ll Experience\nEach session integrates psychological insight with embodied practice.\nSessions include: \n\nBreath and regulation practices\nEmbodied awareness exercises\nReflective inquiry and guided exploration\nPsychological frameworks for understanding anxiety\\nGroup discussion and shared learning\nPractical tools for daily life integration\n\nBetween sessions\, participants are invited to apply practices in daily life and bring real examples into the group process. \nTo support continuity: \n\nBrief weekly tracking of anxiety patterns\nReflection on practice application\nEach week combines learning\, experience\, and reflection.\n\nWhat Becomes Possible\nThis series does not aim to eliminate anxiety\, but to support a different relationship with it.\nThrough practice\, participants often notice: \n\nGreater awareness of anxiety patterns\nIncreased ability to pause before reacting\nMore confidence during uncertainty and activation\nStronger connection to inner resources and discernment\nGreater steadiness in daily life\nRather than trying to get rid of anxiety\, the work supports meeting it with clarity\, choice\, and agency.\n\nWho This Series Is For\nThis series is for individuals experiencing anxiety in daily life who are interested in working with it more directly. \nIt may be especially relevant for: \n\nHealth professionals\, therapists\, and caregivers\nYoga teachers and yoga therapists\nPeople navigating stress\, uncertainty\, or transition\nAnyone seeking a more workable relationship with anxiety\n\nNo prior experience is required. \nAttendance to all sessions is expected\, as each builds on the previous one. \nNo recordings are provided. Missed Sessions: A private 1:1 make-up session may be scheduled if needed. \n
