SUMMARY:Satsang: Interfaith Celebration of Easter and Passover\, The Divine Mystery
DESCRIPTION:Online & In-person\n$5-$20 | Enroll for free\, use promo code FREE. \nBook now/OnlinePlease register in advance; a Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before the session\, or join Zoom directly via your Momence dashboard. \nBook now/In-PersonWe appreciate advance registration. \nJoin Swami Vimalananda and Surya Stuart Dick for this interfaith celebration. We will open a discussion on the holy day’s mystical and practical significance in Jewish\, Christian\, and Yogic traditions. There will be time for personal sharing.\nPassover is the Jewish holiday of liberation. It represents freedom from the constructs that bind us. But where does that leave us? We know how the Jewish telling of the holiday plays out\, but those who were uprooted didn’t know what would happen next. Or how to cope.\nStuart will highlight tools from the Jewish teachings as we search for ways to manage profound personal and communal change.\nHe’s alive! He’s alive! Jesus died on the cross but after three days. He was alive and showed himself to many people. Even doubting Thomas saw Jesus’ hand with the nail marks. Jesus rose from the dead!\nThe essence of Easter is that Jesus demonstrated that there is immortality. Only his body died but his essence was alive. What if we are all immortal and only our bodies die and our Self lives forever? Can this really be true?\nPlease join Swami Vimalananda for a short talk and discussion about this incredible event and its implications.\nEveryone is welcome to stay for tea and light snacks afterwards.\nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit\, Sat means truth and Sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together to share spiritual teachings. The philosophy of Integral Yoga is explored often through an informal discussion. Although our spiritual paths may diverge\, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice. This donation-based program will not be recorded.\nPeople of all faiths are welcome.\n\nSwami Vimalananda Ma\, RYT500\, is an Integral Yoga sannyasi – monk. She has been involved with Integral Yoga since 1971 and Director of the San Francisco Integral Yoga Institute from 1992-2011. She specializes in teaching yoga philosophy and spiritual counseling. \n  \n  \nSurya Stuart Dick has blended their own Jewish and yoga practices for decades\, finding that each tradition supports and informs the other. They’ve practiced and taught Integral Yoga for over twenty years.

DESCRIPTION:Online | $5-$20 | Enroll for free\, use promo code FREE \nBook now/OnlinePlease register in advance; a Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before the session\, or join Zoom directly via your Momence dashboard. \nThe Spring Equinox marks a point in the Earth’s cycle when day and night are nearly equal in length—a moment of transition as conditions in nature begin to shift. In this Satsang\, we’ll use the equinox as an opportunity to examine how we respond to shifts unfolding in our world and in our own lives. Grounded in the wisdom of Yoga and compassionate communication\, the gathering will include shared reflection\, contemplative inquiry\, and guided practice. Together\, we’ll explore how yogic principles of nonviolence and truthfulness\, along with the cultivation of a calm\, steady mind\, support us in responding to harm\, conflict\, and upheaval with integrity.\nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. \nPeople of all faiths are welcome.\n\nKamala Itzel Hayward was a lawyer for over a decade before becoming a Yoga teacher and Yoga therapist specializing in trauma\, addiction\, and wellness. Drawn from the structured\, service-based path of IYI into the austere world of the Nāga sannyāsins\, he encountered the living traditions that interpret amṛtatva—inner immortality—as the fruit of discipline\, devotion\, and renunciation. His initiation into the Juna Akhara marks both a turning point and a commitment to an ancient lineage that continues to express its power and purpose at the vast\, mythic gathering of the Kumbh Mela.\nEveryone is welcome to stay for tea and light snacks afterwards.\nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. \nPeople of all faiths are welcome.\n\nSwami Ghanshyam Puri is a Bhakta who has practiced yoga for over twenty five years and is certified to teach all levels of Hatha Yoga and Stress Management. He is a former attorney who became an Integral Yoga Teacher in 2010. He has taught in the United States\, Mexico\, Spain\, and India. “Yoga can point the path to the Divine”\, he sustains. His devotion to the Guru\, Swami Satchidananda\, led him to India to experience the teachings of Gurudev directly. Puri resided temporarily at the Divine Life Society in Rishikesh\, India\, where he studied at the Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy. The following years\, Swamiji went on extensive pilgrimages throughout all India\, Nepal\, and other countries. In 2017 he completed the Maha Yatra or great trip to the Twelve Temples of Lord Shiva known as Jyotirlingas. Subsequently\, he took Vel Kavadi for purification purposes in 2018. The following year he attended Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj and took Shahi Snan (holy bath for purification) with the order of Naga Babas of Juna Akhara. SUMMARY:Satsang: What Do We Do Now?
DESCRIPTION:Online | $5-$20 | Enroll for free\, use promo code FREE \nBook now/OnlinePlease register in advance; a Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before the session\, or join Zoom directly via your Momence dashboard. \nHow’s everyone holding up out there? How are you managing while the world feels like it’s on fire? Many of us don’t like to think about it—but we all feel it. Something just isn’t right. And yet\, we keep moving forward as if everything is fine.\nThis Satsang is a call to a community ready for activation and transformation\, with guidance from a spiritual practice like Yoga. I’ve seen that when a true community comes together\, the impossible becomes possible.\nLet’s talk.\nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. \nPeople of all faiths are welcome. This session will not be recorded.\n\nMia Velez\, E-RYT 500\, entered the Integral Yoga Sangha in 2016 through the kitchen by helping to cook Thursday community lunches and silent retreat meals. In 2018 she was certified as an Integral Yoga teacher to learn more of the IYI approach and be part of the lineage. Mia is a disciple of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Kung Fu lineage and is highly influenced by her martial arts training. After completing her first 200-hour teacher training in 2008\, she began to see undeniable parallels in Yoga and Kung Fu. When she began teaching Kung Fu in 2014\, she incorporated Yoga insight and principles in her classes. Her goal in teaching is to connect with the students and to facilitate a safe space for exploration and self-inquiry. Yoga and Kung Fu are integrated into her daily life as a mother\, a preschool teacher\, and an advocate for gender\, race\, and class equality through multiple non-profit groups.

SUMMARY:Satsang: Book Event—Mom's in There
DESCRIPTION:Online & In-person\n$5-$20 | Enroll for free\, use promo code FREE \nBook now/OnlinePlease register in advance; a Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before the session\, or join Zoom directly via your Momence dashboard. \nBook now/In-PersonWe appreciate advance registration. \nJoin Kirana Stover—Integral Yoga trainer and director of the Integral Yoga Center in Barcelona\, Spain—as she celebrates the publication of her book Mom’s in There with all of you. Through sharing the story of her mother’s passing\, Kirana invites others to open up and share their own experiences of loss.\nWhen she learns of her mother’s terminal diagnosis\, the author returns to the city of her birth. Mother and daughter find\, re-find\, and lose each other in a tender\, poetic portrayal of the end of a life.\nMom’s in There is a gentle shift in perception. It invites readers to engage with the creative energy that being present can awaken. For anyone caring for someone who is dying\, or grieving the loss of a loved one\, this book serves as a powerful reminder to be here\, now.\n“This simple\, almost childlike book\, is a doorway to wonder! Without commentary or interpretation\, the author records her mother’s words and the scenes through her window during the last months of her life. Without the sense of the author as intermediary\, I felt that I was personally there and I joined her mother as she made the journey from anxiety to wonder\, and from prose to poetry. This sweet story soothed my own fears of dying\, and brought glimpses of the Great Life beyond.”\n~ Swami Divyananda Ma\, Integral Yoga.\nEveryone is welcome to stay for tea and light snacks afterwards.\nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit\, Sat means truth and Sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together to share spiritual teachings. The philosophy of Integral Yoga is explored often through an informal discussion. Although our spiritual paths may diverge\, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice.\nPeople of all faiths are welcome.\nThis donation-based program will not be recorded. \n\nOriginally from Richmond\, Virginia\, Kirana was first introduced to Integral Yoga in 1982. In 1987 Kirana lived on 22nd and Guerrero in San Francisco and did karma yoga at the Institute in exchange for Hatha yoga classes. In 1993 she became a certified Hatha yoga teacher and since 2001 has been the director of the Integral Yoga Center in Barcelona\, Spain. In 2023 Kirana returned to Virginia to be with her mom who was in hospice care. Mom’s in There is imbued with the essence of the Integral Yoga teaching “Truth is One\, Paths are Many.” Her time with her mother was punctuated by a trip to Yogaville; she also spent a week there after her mother “transitioned.” This helped her integrate and understand both her time with her mom and her own spiritual practice at a deeper level.

SUMMARY:Satsang: Unearthing the Roots of Suffering for Collective Healing
DESCRIPTION:Online & In-person\n$5-$20 | Enroll for free\, use promo code FREE \nBook now/OnlinePlease register in advance; a Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before the session\, or join Zoom directly via your Momence dashboard. \nBook now/In-PersonWe appreciate advance registration. \nJoin Swami Ramananda and Marc Morozumi for an evening of satsang and reflection in these challenging times. When global crises leave us feeling overwhelmed or powerless\, it’s essential to pause and examine how our own reactions—driven by fear\, impatience\, or comfort—may unknowingly deepen the suffering we hope to ease. \nYoga points us toward liberation through awareness: shifting from divisive thinking to recognizing our shared humanity. Our discomfort can be a wake-up call—a chance to move beyond self-interest and remember that healing begins when we act with compassion and clarity.\nTogether\, we’ll explore how to align personal well-being with collective care. What choices uplift all beings? What small changes matter most? Come be in community\, ready to confront discomfort and take steps toward healing—together.\nEveryone is welcome to stay for tea and light snacks afterwards.\nThis workshop will be recorded and available to enrolled students for 2 weeks \n\nMarc Morozumi\, E-RYT 500\, CMT\, Lead Yoga Teacher Trainer with Integral Yoga Institute\, began practicing Ashtanga yoga in 2001 while a full-time modern dancer with Joe Goode Performance Group in SF\, CA. A 2-month personal trip to India in 2007 paved the way for landing in Yogaville in 2009 for his first teacher training with Swami Divyananda and staff. One month after returning from graduation\, Mukunda began teaching a Saturday morning class at the SF IYI which he maintained for over 10 years. Mukunda has co-led Integral Yoga retreats since 2011 and has staffed or co-led Basic Teacher Trainings since 2013. He has opened and managed small group yoga studios in SF since 2017 and in early 2020\, he opened and then reformed a yoga center post COVID-19: Mukunda Yoga – Activation and Well-being Center in SOMA\, SF\, CA. \nSwami Ramananda\, C-IAYT\, E-RYT 500\, is the Executive Director of the Integral Yoga Institute in San Francisco\, C-IAYT\, and a greatly respected senior teacher in the Integral Yoga tradition who has been practicing Yoga for over 45 years. SUMMARY:Sunday Spiritual Talk: Integrating Meditative Attainments\, Part 2
DESCRIPTION:Online\n$5-$20 | Enroll for free\, use promo code FREE. \nBook now/OnlinePlease register in advance; a Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before the session\, or join Zoom directly via your Momence dashboard. \nIn meditation\, we may touch moments of peace\, stillness\, or bliss—profound inner states that reveal our deeper nature. Yet translating these fleeting experiences into lasting qualities that guide us through daily life is an ongoing challenge.\nIn this gathering\, Swami Ramananda will join Rich Panico in a follow-up discussion on how to cultivate enduring Dharmic traits through revisioning our sadhana. Together\, we will reflect on the inner work that allows these sacred states to gradually become stable\, living expressions of our practice—on and off the cushion.\nYou are invited to join Satsang: From State to Trait – Integrating Meditative Attainments into Daily Life\, Part 1 with Rich Panico on Saturday\, September 6\, 5:30 – 6:30 pm. You are also welcome to attend independently. \nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit\, Sat means truth and Sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together to share spiritual teachings. The philosophy of Integral Yoga is explored often through an informal discussion. Although our spiritual paths may diverge\, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice.\nPeople of all faiths are welcome.\n\nRich Panico is an artist\, yogi and physician known for his humor and clarity in teaching. He has practiced meditation and yoga since 1970 and began teaching mindfulness woven into pottery making classes in the late 70’s. Rich has taught mindfulness formally\, in medical\, academic and art-related settings for over 20 years. He was a pioneer in the use of mindfulness-based treatment in the adaptation to and treatment of chronic disease. Mindfulness occupied a central therapeutic role in his professional offering as a physician.
