Satsang: Embracing Unity in Diversity: Yoga as Spiritual Activism
with Swami Ramananda, Kamala Berrio, Mukunda Morozumi, and Linda Natera
Saturday, October 7 | 3:30 – 5 pm at the Accessible Yoga Conference
City College of San Francisco – Mission Center
1125 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA
Many of us are troubled by recent events and the divisive ideology that has intensified violence and exploitation around the world. We are witnessing radical movements that exhibit dehumanizing values and lead to unnecessary suffering. Join us for a discussion of how we can apply the teachings of Yoga to oppose such factions with compassion in our hearts and stand together in the knowledge that we are all one in Spirit. Together, we can explore how to join with other conscious peoples as a voice for inclusiveness and social justice.
Satsang, is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit, sat means truth and sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together with IYI senior instructors to share spiritual teachings. Although spiritual paths may diverge, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice. People of all faiths are welcome. May be attended on a drop-in basis with no preregistration.
The topics for discussion at Satsang change each week and include a wide array of diverse and interesting subjects and issues ranging from personal healing to global transformation. Please sign up for our newsletter for more information on this week’s Satsang.
Satsang is held every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.
