Practicing Forgiveness


Practicing forgiveness comes first with acceptance that we and other beings are imperfect and full of light. By loving the imperfections we see in others we start to love the imperfections in ourselves.  In examining self-forgiveness, author Tara Brach says, “I don’t mean we should excuse our hurtful behaviors or give ourselves permission to lash out. Instead the aim is to release self-hatred that closes our heart and contracts our mind.”
