Neck and Shoulders Workshop

As we learn ways to respond to and release stress that has built up in the body, we can then counter the body's negative reaction to stress. Releasing tension held in the neck and shoulders can bring new freedom of movement in many poses, more ease to the entire body and in turn peace to the mind. This workshop is open to students and teachers of all levels.

Bhakti Yoga with Mirabai

Join Mirabai for a special evening Bhakti Yoga in the form of Kirtan, Indian Sanskrit chanting. Through prayer and song, we will surrender ourselves to God, and channel our emotions into unconditional devotion and love. Come join us and experience the powerful healing of sound and mantra. Mirabai will discuss Kirtan and the attributes of the Hindu deities: Ganesh, Shiva, Krishna, Durga, Lakshmi, etc. Students will feel the powerful effects of Bhakti by singing the many names of the Gods and Goddesses, the many manifestations of the One, over and over to traditional and original Kirtan melodies with Mirabai. Kirtan melts the heart, fills the mind with purity and generates harmony and Divine Love. The repetitive nature of chanting causes us to breathe more deeply, slowly, and more rhythmically. Chanting can also increase mental clarity; for our brain waves are altered, evoking states of relaxation, lightness, and peace.
